Where others spend hours developing products, Overland Kitted spends months to ensure they get it right. To meet real-world usability standards, the Spare Tire Accessory Bracket (STAB) is designed with several innovative features, including newly added welded steel reinforcements for enhanced strength and durability.
Anti-Wobble Design:
On the first prototype, Overland Kitted identified a need for lateral stability in the load that the bracket carries. The innovative anti-wobble design compensates for the natural crown of the tire, pushing the sides of the bracket directly into the tire, away from the crown, to ensure gear remains solid and secure.
Tire Traction Dies:
Four dimple-died holes at each corner of the STAB not only increase bracket strength and reduce weight but also prevent rotation or slippage, even under the most rugged conditions. Positioned directly underneath the two-inch Mac's Custom Tie Downs® strap, these traction dies are under constant tension and key into the tire tread.
Heavy-Duty Tire Strap:
Overland Kitted partnered with Mac's Custom Tie Downs® to provide an American-made, two-inch heavy-duty strap with a ratchet that ensures the STAB system stays firmly in place. The oversized ratchet is easy to operate and delivers superior ratcheting force, securing the bracket reliably.
Welded Steel Reinforcements:
The latest version of the Spare Tire Accessory Bracket features welded steel reinforcements, making it even more durable and capable of withstanding heavy loads on challenging terrains. This improvement ensures long-lasting performance under rugged conditions.
Designed for MAXTRAX®:
When combined with Overland Kitted’s Universal MAXTRAX® Mounting Plates (available for MKII, XTREME, and Mini recovery boards), users can securely mount their MAXTRAX® with genuine MAXTRAX® Mounting Pin hardware. As the long-time exclusive importer of MAXTRAX®, Overland Kitted designed the STAB to meet customer demand for mounting MAXTRAX® Recovery Boards on vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco, both of which feature a rear-tire-mounted reversing camera. This design also maintains rear visibility, with less obstruction to the rearview mirror.
RotoPax® Ready:
The Overland Kitted STAB is compatible with RotoPax® mounting solutions and is designed for fuel containers from 1 to 3 gallons. An additional bracket may be required when using the Universal MAXTRAX Mounting Bracket.
