MAXTRAX Universal Mounting Pins for MKII, XTREME and LITE

The all-new MAXTRAX Universal Mounting Pins now work across the entire MAXTRAX range, including MKII, XTREME, and LITE recovery boards.

By using a modular design that accounts for the different board heights, these pins make it easy to upgrade, reconfigure, or mix and match boards without changing hardware. You can run four MKII boards, four XTREMEs, two of each, or use them with the more compact LITE boards—it’s up to you.

For a long time, mounting MAXTRAX meant committing to a specific pin based on the boards you owned. MKII + LITE and XTREME required different solutions, which limited flexibility once everything was mounted. The Universal Mounting Pins solve that by standardizing the system. You simply choose the length of the M8 threaded stud that fits your application.

What we like about these is the flexibility. You can carry anywhere from two to four boards, change combinations later, and adapt your setup as your vehicle or travel style evolves—without replacing mounting hardware. They’re secure, straightforward, and make recovery gear easier to live with, which is exactly how it should be.

Available in two sizes:

Short (17 mm)

Ideal for use with Overland Kitted mounting brackets. Compact and purpose-built for roof racks, bed racks, and spare tire mounts.

Long (40 mm)

Designed for custom installations, hard mounts, and DIY setups where additional thread engagement is needed, including mounting through camper walls or panels.
